The Royal Oak is a little rural gem set in the heart of the West Sussex countryside between Horsham and Dorking and within easy reach of the A24.
The pub has two bars, one small bar in a delightful lounge area where you can sit in front of the log fire on a cold winters evening and the other main bar where you can join in the banter from the locals or take a table in front of the fire.
We have a patio area and seating on the grass by the boule pitch or if you prefer you can sit under the apple trees by the stream in the lower garden in the summer, a more perfect place to spend a warm summer evening would be hard to find.
We always carry seven real ales from micro breweries, three ciders and two perrys . A mild is usually available and Lager never seen!
We do not allow children in the pub but there is ample seating outside.
We do not do food in the evenings as a matter of course but if you book a couple of days in advance something can usually be arranged, you are, however, welcome to bring in your own take-a-ways in the evenings. Lunchtimes will usually have on offer one hot dish or sandwiches. |
